About the Founder

Hon. Mugabe Robert is the Founder of Kitagwenda Foundation Limited and a dedicated public servant with a strong passion for community development and grassroots transformation
He started his education at Rwenshama Primary School and later studied at Michindo Misteribach Secondary School in Kamwenge District. He went on to join the Islamic University in Uganda through the Mature Entry Scheme and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Bishop Stuart University. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in the same field. Mugabe Robert has built his career through active service and close work with communities. In 2012, he served as Youth Chairman for NRM in Nyabani Sub-County and as Farmer Forum Chairman under NAADS, where he supported youth leadership and agricultural development. He later served as District Councillor representing Nyabani Sub-County in Kamwenge District from 2015 to 2019 and also worked as Deputy Speaker. From 2019 to 2021, he served as Interim District Chairperson (LCV) for Kitagwenda District, where he helped guide the district during its early stages. In addition to his political work, he has also contributed to community awareness through media. He worked as a radio presenter at Endigito Radio in Mbarara and later at Kyaka FM, using these platforms to educate and engage the public. He currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Kitagwenda County (2026–2031), where he continues to support policies and programs that improve livelihoods and promote development. Hon. Mugabe Robert is known for his humility, accessibility, and strong connection with the people.
